Happy 4/20 Boogie Nation!
Sneezy Lit Up Atlanta this weekend
Happy 4/20 Boogie Nation! Hope your Monday is elevated. This weekend, nobody got higher than our gear, which we loaded in via forklift. SIAFB used to mean Sneezy is Funk Band, but at Sweetwater 420 Fest? Sneezy is FORK band.
Sneezy was the first band of the festival, playing a short set in the Atlanta sun. While festival goers trickled in, Boogie Nation sparked the party. “You guys can actually make hippies show up somewhere on time,” someone remarked after the set.
The crowds for the other daytime sets were sparse— people were clinging to the shade, lingering by the bar. Not for Sneezy. A core group of fans showed up in tie-dye regalia to match our technicolor stage. Sweaty and spinning rainbows, Boogie Nation happily blazed in the sunshine.
This was a one-off for Sneezy. Chicago to Atlanta to Chicago again. Can you do the math? Me neither, usually. One of the guys added it up. It’s over 24 hours on the road to play 45 minutes of music. By any math— business, common sense, gas mileage— this makes no sense. It makes about as much sense as asking hippies to show up at noon. But Sneezy makes it happen. We’ll hustle to the set the same way you do. That’s the Sneezy logic: any distance for the fans. Hours of discomfort pay off for the moments dancing on stage with your best friends.
The gofundme is at 18k with 10 days left. Boogie Nation has showed up for us, and we want to keep showing up for you. We’re almost halfway to the big goal. Help us keep the party going by sharing or contributing.
