Final Day, Full Hearts
Today is the last day of our gofundme!
Dear Boogie Nation,
I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing the last one of these.
Thirty days ago I thought the only thing I could contribute to our fundraiser was some words. And then you all not only read them, but enjoyed them. The replies, the kind words, the people who said they’d been waiting for the email to land in their inbox — that meant more to me than I know how to say without getting weepy and weird. So thank you. Truly.
Here’s where we are: as of this morning, we’ve raised just under $20K from 221 donors. Over two hundred people believe in our tour so much they’re willing to give. This concrete evidence that people believe in our music and mission has inspired every one involved with Sneezy. Every donation, large and small, adds up to a huge confidence boost.
GoFundMe had us stagger our goals as we went (their recommendation, not ours), so you’ve watched us hit $7K and $12K as checkpoints. But the real number, the downpayment on a van capable of the job, is $40K. We’re exactly halfway.
Today is the last day.
This has been one of the best months I’ve had in a long time, and it’s because of this community. I came here to sell you a t-shirt and somehow ended up writing you a letter every day. That’s the Sneezy Effect.
Love ya,
Abbi from the merch booth
PS- Despite all my sentimentality, I’ll still be updating you from the road periodically. I can’t wait to show you the new wheels…. even if they’re attached to office chairs ;)
